Education Standards

Even though Cartoonversations are designed to be flexible with your schedule and your teaching style, they still take time. Here’s a newsflash: Teachers don’t have extra time!

That’s why Cartoonversations partnered with Reeths-Puffer Director of Teaching and Learning, Terri Portice. Prior to her current role at Reeths-Puffer, Terri was the Director of Teaching and Learning for the Kent County (Michigan) ISD. Few people, if any, know more about state standards than Terri.

Terri methodically reviewed the Common Core State Standards for all grade levels (K-12), and these documents reflect her work. By using Cartoonversations in your classroom, you not only identify kids in need, you can also address multiple ELA requirements.

Save valuable planning time and teaching time by using Cartoonversations and by using these convenient (and approved) state standards notes for your class. For busy teachers everywhere, that is great news!

Please Note: Over 40 states (as well as several territories) use the Common Core State Standards. However, there are slight variations from state to state with how the standards are labeled and/or worded. These standards align with the Michigan version of the Common Core, and they are easily transferable to other states. If there are any questions or concerns about how to align them in your state or territory, don’t hesitate to let us know. We’ll do everything we can to get you the answers you need! Email Us
